Equitable Education Access aims to alleviate the lack of female representation in STEM fields. We work with young girls, especially girls of color, to help close the STEM gender gap earlier by hosting workshops and providing books that highlight women of color STEM leaders to marginalized youth. Despite the rapid growth in the number of STEM jobs, numerous young girls are discouraged from pursuing these fields due to stereotypes and lack of support. In fact, only about 20% of STEM educational materials feature a woman.
Through our various workshops, we empower young girls of color, to see themselves represented so that they have positive role models who look like them.
