Period At School focuses on delivering interactive menstrual health education sessions to adolescent girls, distributing essential period kits, and training teachers as menstrual health allies to sustain ongoing support. The program works closely with schools to foster safe, inclusive spaces that normalize menstruation and empower girls to stay in school and participate fully.

Since its launch, the project has engaged over 200 girls and trained 20 teachers across multiple schools in Sindh. Activities include educational workshops, peer discussions, and advocacy efforts that challenge harmful taboos and improve access to menstrual hygiene resources. HER Pakistan collaborates with school leadership to ensure lasting impact and community acceptance.

“Period At School” integrates a variety of methods—interactive sessions, multimedia resources, and capacity building—to create an environment where girls gain knowledge, confidence, and agency. Early feedback shows increased school attendance during menstruation and greater openness to discussing menstrual health.

With continued support, “Period At School” aims to expand to more schools, building a scalable model that transforms menstrual health education and breaks down barriers to girls’ education across Pakistan.
