The intercultural relationship between the Europe and the Arab world is marked by polarity. The CAP “Orient meets Occident: An Intercultural Symposium on post-Arab Spring Perspectives” plans to bring together about 25 students from Europe and different parts of the Arab world. It is designed with the goal of fostering greater mutual understanding between the Arab world and Europe and notably wants to facilitate an exchange of perspectives on the Arab Spring on topics such as: What were the causes of the Arab Spring? How were the events of the Arab Spring perceived in the Arab world and Europe? Does the Arab Spring bear fruit?
