Changemaker: Abeelan Rasadurai Country of Implementation: Switzerland
Medical students in Switzerland have to undergo a rigorous one-day selection exam in order to be eligible to
study medicine.
From the official side, there is not enough exam preparation material to adequately prepare for this
important selection process. Private companies often take advantage of this insufficiency by appealing
to students with expensive exam preparation courses and booklets, often indicating that those commercial
resources are essential in order to pass the preselection exam.
A group of medical students wants to change that. NCWiki is a project to provide all the information and
exercises as open-source material for future medical candidates. Financial status should not play a role in
being selected to study medicine in Switzerland.
