Lorenz Henggeler is from Switzerland, 22 years old and currently studying sociology, economics and human geography at the University of Zurich. He’s interested in migration, inequality and sustainability.
However his activities currently focus on sustainability. He’s part of the Sustainability Week Zurich, a student association that aims to spread the value of sustainability throughout academia. The sustainability week Zurich received the “Award for Student Leadership” of the International Sustainability Campus Network (ISCN) in 2016, the “Highly Commended Award” of the GUPES Green Gown Awards.
Additionally he represents the students of the Swiss Universities and the federal institutes of technology at the U Change board of delegates. U Change is a support program funded by the Swiss state that supports student initiatives that promote sustainability.
His goals are to develop new strategies that enable the sustainability movement to reach people that are new to the issue.
