Valeria Riojas, a committed 18-year-old from Lima, Peru, is currently studying Communications at the University of Lima. She is dedicated to social activism, focusing on closing the educational gap.
She founded Proyecto Suyay, a youth volunteer initiative, which has cultivated a community of 385 young change agents across the Americas.
Valeria developed the Suyay methodology to revolutionize educational methods, enabling children to learn through play. One of her significant achievements was the establishment of a library in Ate, where she, along with volunteers, provides educational support to 125 children. She aspires to set up more libraries in underprivileged areas and plans to develop more effective programs to expand her reach to additional communities.
