Paul Wombo

Paul Wombo, a 28-year-old chartered accountant from South Africa, defied his father's aspirations for him to become an engineer and instead pursued a career in accounting. Despite facing economic challenges that affected his father's engineering business in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Paul’s enthusiasm for infrastructure drove him to spearhead significant infrastructure finance transactions with Momentum Group and BSM. Currently, he serves as the chairperson of the Thuthuka Alumni Community NRC, where he champions the CA profession and raises funds for future students. Paul’s vision encompasses reducing energy costs across Africa, facilitating infrastructure development, and empowering passionate individuals throughout the continent. He is committed to leading sustainable development projects in Africa, supporting the Thuthuka Bursary Fund, and investing in youth-led initiatives in the DRC.
