Mark Lozano is the co-founder of One Million Lights Philippines (OML PH) - a non-profit organization that provides clean, safe, and affordable solar lights to off-grid communities - in 2010 at the age of 16. As Country Head, he oversees all operations of the organization, from resource mobilization to resource deployment.
OML PH improves the quality of life of Filipinos through solar lighting. They replace toxic, hazardous, and costly kerosene lamps with solar-powered lights that are clean, safe, and affordable. By doing this, they help their beneficiaries save more money, become more productive, and lead healthier lives.
Under his leadership, OML PH has successfully conducted 80+ lighting initiatives across the Philippines, impacting the lives of over 80,000 Filipinos. For his work at OML PH, Lozano, together with his co-founder, received the Spirit of EDSA Award as the sole recipients of 2012 from Philippine President, Benigno S. Aquino III.
