The Hippocampus Project in Sekhukhune District, South Africa, addresses the challenge of low pass rates in matric Mathematics and Physical Science. Leveraging educational technology and data tools, this initiative aims to significantly improve pass rates, foster educational equity, and align with NDP 2030 goals. The project integrates an Adaptive Digital Tutor with Caps-aligned curriculum, provides teacher workshops, and engages the community. Through continuous monitoring, workshops, and feedback mechanisms, the project empowers learners and uplifts education in a disadvantaged community.
