The Crunch begins…

Well, now the real challenge begins – the past two weeks have been preparation, yes, including the session, you all laid the foundation for global activism. Remember, these past two weeks have been about you as young people saying to the world that you are capable, innovative and ready to kick butt should the opportunity come. Thank goodness for organizations like BC and WEF for having good heads on their shoulders and providing you with a kickstart. The big challenge is making sure that the huge amounts of contacts made by the Team are exploited. We will be discussing the details of how we can effectively do this tomorrow and we’ll let you know the way forward, to make sure that the rest of the 54 really benefit from this meeting. Should this opportunity not be used, I believe we’d be just as bad some of the leaders who say they’ll do things and never deliver. That is my challenge this year: to make sure that the maximum amount of people benefit from this opportunity. I’d like to conclude with Rhadeena’s words; Action is what makes a difference, not just words, ACTION. SO, IT’S TIME TO ACT!!!
PS: I'm working on uploading pics including those I took at Guildford, i'm having some difficulties but work it out and put them up.

When you guys were talking I was with you in spirit but kicking my computer cos it wouldn’t get me the webcast. Then I found I wasn’t alone which made me feel better. At last, late at night on Friday I was free and could sit back and watch it…....
Well I have to say you were impressive, and gave a fantastic account of ourselves and all the rest of your colleagues. You kept your heads and said what you wanted and needed to say, clearly but with the passion you all have.
You have all grown over the last two weeks and were excellent ambassadors for youth.
Becky Anderson and Emma Thompson were great too, and kept the ideas running. It was very good that they took you back to your own personal stories as well as letting you project into the future.
I am sure by now you have had many more experiences, exciting, frustrating, inspiring, I look forward to hearing them.
I shall sleep happily tonight
and hope you do too
John
