Eyes to see and Ears to hear
Many, many people believe that the antonym of Love
is Hatred.
But for all those who have once felt ignored, invisible, or abandoned, know well, that you will never feel more unloved, than when people are indifferent towards your person. SOMOSPLAN, as a social activist group is therefore committed to make a difference where indifference has brought all its belongings for a long stay, and where justice has been kidnapped during the darkest of all nights.
”The difference we make is not to fall in indifference”
It has been 3 months, since Francisco went to the Guildford Forum 2009. He himself changed a great deal, and he made sure to take with him the greatest souvenirs for his co-workers. The experience of being abroad and meeting people with common dreams, and ideals; nurtured him with higher expectations, and a bigger responsibility. Not only as an individual, but as a team SOMOSPLAN felt they needed to work harder, and more perseveringly, towards what they have been called to do.

Today we have more than 200 people affiliated to our group, and this encourages us hugely. Numerous people have offered their cooperation. We feel the support and it reminds us of our motivations, so we keep on movement! Now, why does SOMOSPLAN need so much support? People may have heard about Francisco’s CAP: We are about creating awareness and consciousness about local and global issues. SOMOSPLAN is developing the GLOBAL CHANGEMAKERS TV Program, which we are aiming to broadcast in TV Channels. This is a big step to take for us as a team. Hence, the people’s support is greatly important to us. Because at the end of the day, we are all about being bridges between different activists, and showing what youth can do, by filming it and allow as many eyes to see, and as many ears to hear!
We have been provided with tools and some more experience by Global Changemakers. So as long as indifference refuses to leave our beautiful lands, and we have yet a ransom to pay for justice to come back home; SOMOSPLAN will continue producing videos about all that happens that should matter to the masses. Not every youth is involved in Social Aid campaigns, but all of them seem to be somewhat concerned, with the change that needs to be made. So it is really important that at least, through videos like ours, we tell people that they are not alone, if they decide to stand against these iniquities.
We are currently working with the Social Campaign of “The Crusade for Children”, locally. And also broadcasting videos online, of international campaigns by you all, Great Changemakers! So please, send us any videos, or pictures of your projects, to Francisco’s e-mail: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
Or we can arrange some other ways to keep in contact!
Keep up the good work!
You are all amazing people!
