Youth Empowerment Sweden

Youth Empowerment Sweden was created to provide teenagers with the chance to further their development through youth-led workshops, interesting lectures and activities. Through the exchange of cultural influences and experiences, this CAP led to the overall increase of knowledge ofin tolerance towards backgrounds other than one’s own. These workshops, covered many different activities, ranging from cooking to dancing, combined with lectures, activities and fundraising events.

The aims of the CAP were:

• To give youth the opportunity to acquire and develop interests as well as leadership skills.

• To create an integrated society where teenagers with different backgrounds and prerequisites are treated equally.

• To combat racism and discrimination in a new, hands-on way.

• To create a strong network of youth and other contacts for support, guidance and of course friendship.
