Nadiya- Sri Lanka

Nadiya is passionate about environmental management and climate justice, and co-founded the eco-brick project in 2018 to address the issue of plastic pollution. Building a Christmas tree from eco-bricks brought in by the public, containing over 45kgs of plastic that would otherwise have gone to land fill or the ocean was one of her most rewarding experiences. She hopes to build a sustainable business model for the eco-brick project that benefits rural communities.
