Matthew is studying a self-designed a major around the theme of positive psychology. After his younger brother was bullied at their middle school, Matthew founded The Be ONE Project, a community-building and anti-bullying non-profit organization that serves middle school students. To date, Be ONE has reached more than 5,300 students across four states. Matthew's work to create more positive and inclusive middle schools has been featured by Disney Channel, CNN, and Time for Kids. After he graduates from university, Matthew plans to enter the classroom as a middle school teacher in Arizona, where he hopes to affect change every day in his own classroom. Outside of school and his work, Matthew enjoys practicing yoga and listening to music. He is excited to be at this year’s summit to meet changemakers from across the world, and he hopes to gain new skills to expand his anti-bullying work.
