Changemaker: Emeribe Anthony Chinedu

Country of Implementation: Nigeria

Young people have the strength and potential to drive positive change in the society and truly are the common wealth of every nation. However, this is not usually the case as many young people have ideologies driven by mediocrity rather than ideologies driven by value creation and excellence.

To address this issue, the Transformed Leaders with a focus on building young Leaders with the intellectual capacity, integrity and character to drive positive change in the society formed by Changemaker; Emeribe Anthony with support of the Global Changemakers Community and Jayden Robinson Youth Foundation is organizing a High School Leadership Convention this March 2021 for young teenagers with the theme " Creating A Mindshift In Youths Towards National Transformation" to cause a mindset repositioning in them towards taking responsibility and ensuring accountability for their actions.

The project will feature keynote speeches from guest speakers like Uchenna Onwuamaegbu-Ugwu, the Chief Executive Officer of Edufun Technik, who led Five Nigerian girls at the World Technovation Challenge in the Silicon Valley to win the Gold Medal At The Contest and has over three years of experience in implementation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education in schools for children and youth from ages 3-21, especially girls in rural communities in Nigeria.

The project will also feature keynote speeches from guest speakers like Chidi Ejeagba from the TV humanity foundation dedicated to fostering character development in young teenagers and Jayden Robinson, the founder of Jayden Robinson Youth Foundation who has a focus on empowering the African youth and bridging the Gap of graduate unemployment.

The project will involve teenagers from different secondary schools who will engage in public speaking contests, international debates competitions, roundtable panel discussions from seasoned guests and keynote presentations from guest speakers.
