Originally from Mexico City, Carmen, 22 years old, is a Visual Arts student at UNAM. As both an artist and an activist, they are dedicated to promoting gender equality, advocating for the democratization of art, and combating racism. Currently, they are involved in the exhibition “Curarnos.” Their activism is carried out both online and in person, with a primary emphasis on the dissemination of information. Presently, they are in the planning stages of two significant projects: the first is a workshop aimed at highlighting the contributions of trans women in Latin America, which will also serve as a free-access digital archive of queer history on the continent. The second project is a digital magazine designed to showcase new artists and promote their work.
