becoming a

changemaker

a mentorship programme for 15-22 year olds designed to help you
fulfill your potential and create the change you wish to see

Designed and perfected through consultations with experts and changemakers from across six continents, our mentorship programme, Becoming a Changemaker, will help you discover your purpose, fulfil your potential and create the change you wish to see.

mentorship

As a participant in the programme, you will be paired with a mentor who is an experienced changemaker and who will guide you through our carefully designed five-part mentorship journey.

Over the course of twelve weeks and with the support of your mentor, you will be equipped with tools, skills, knowledge and understanding to be the change you wish to see. You will also have the opportunity to directly apply what you have learned by being mentored in the planning and creation of your own social impact project!

creating change

Through the programme you will learn about your unique strengths, values and story and how this connects to your purpose and the change you want to create.

You will develop skills such as leadership, planning, communications, networking and many more. You will also have the opportunity to meet and network with other like minded changemakers from around the world as well as attend regular meet-ups with expert guests.

"A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability in you than you see in yourself
- then helps to bring it out of you." - Bob Proctor

chapter 1

Know Yourself

We start with sessions designed to help you get to know yourself - your story, your values, your strengths - and understand how this connects to the change you want to create in your community.

chapter 2

Empathise

Empathy is a critical skill for any leader. In this chapter, you will learn about the different kinds of empathy and how to practice it as well as receive tools to use it to understand and develop solutions to challenges.

chapter 3

Create

With a deepened understanding of the challenge you wish to address, it’s time to create or expand on ideas for solutions. In this chapter your mentor will guide you through activities to map out existing solutions, find gaps and create effective ways to use your unique experience to contribute to a better world.

chapter 4

Manage Resources

After developing your ideas, it’s time to put them into practice as a project. In this chapter, your mentor will help you practically understand how to do so. You will learn about recruiting and managing a team, communicating your idea to different stakeholders, fundraising, planning, and other topics.

chapter 5

Persist

Last but not least, you’ll learn to persist. Being a changemaker working to make a difference is challenging and it can be very demanding. In this chapter, you will learn to take care of yourself and your team members, to deal with unexpected situations, and to make your project sustainable.
