The American Dream
We thought we’d seize this moment to update you all on this fine miserable rainy day here in Miami, were currently sat in a lovely Latino cafe using there free wireless (our only way of keeping up to date with the outside world), with our Momma Louise who is doing a fine job of looking after us given the circumstances.
Yesterday the Clinton Global Initiative University came to an end at a Community Service Project in downtown Miami, which was very different from the rest of Miami we’ve seen, but I don’t want to go into too much detail as Lubna will shortly be bloggin about this.
The Miami 5 has now become the Miami 2 plus Mom, our brother Amu should be back in South Africa (remember at the end of the day were all AFRICAN as Delores Huerta put it), Karapet (the wanderer) should be back in Salt Lake City and our (very silent) sister Lubna has hopefully arrived safely on her road trip to Tampa from Miami. As for me, Charlotta and Mom were all still in Miami, but heading up state to Washington DC tomorrow in the hope of getting an outgoing flight, or we’d be stuck here in Miami for the next 10-12 days staring at cars driving past.
The good thing is we are living the American Dream and our waist sizes are growing as we speak, we had a lovely Italian last night from a local restaurant which was really tasty, our spirits are still high and were finding stuff to keep us busy.
That’s all for now folks!
Scott, Charlotta and Louise x
