What about Teens?
See everyone keeps talking about the youth, saying the youth ought to do this and that-and while all these efforts are right in their own capacity, am asking what about teens?
Where do they come in? Aren’t they young too? For taking an example of Kenya-so much focus is shed on the youth, who according to our Constitution are 18-35 years old and then those who are below this category are left to parents, teachers and other members of the society-but what if we changed our focus slightly? What if we started looking at teens and empowering them to be better people, will they need so much guidance and time when they turn 18?

@dora I agree with you totally…teens also need to be heard Im a teenager too(well I Just happen to be in the twilight zone!) but honestly this group is by far the most vulnerable…I Feel that teens ought to be respected as well and shielded from all forms of neglect. If you have noticed most cases of drug abuse, rape, and what have you, are splattered in this age zone but perhaps most of the victims lack neccesary information…so I think for this age range the most important issue maybe on information disssemination so that participants are well informed….
True Maurice, teens also need to be included in the ‘youth’ category, I have worked with some teens and figured they do have so many good ideas, they face challenges but have very few people to talk to, so yeah we so oughtta focus some more on them especially here in Africa and in Kenya.
