We’re currently getting lots of mails concerning the application process. Unfortunately we are experiencing technical difficulties that make it impossible to send mails to recipients outside the British Council. In addition, we cannot send individual replies to enquiries concerning the application process. To answer some of the questions:
- We cannot extend the application deadline. If your application wasn’t received by noon on Saturday, 7 August (to account for different time zones), it cannot be considered.
- Due to the technical problems we’ve encountered, we cannot currently send out confirmation mails to applicants whose applications came in before the end of the deadline.
- All applicants will be notified by e-mail by the first week of September, regardless of whether they were selected or not.
We’re hoping to resolve these technical issues as soon as possible.

@Annette: The video is an integral part of the application. It is not something separate. Also, even if you may be outside the age range for future Global Youth Summits, we also have global participants at regional youth summits.
