Team Tuesday (13/7/2010)

And it’s another sunny Tuesday in Bern – although the team is very small today. I’m back from Dirndl Country (and sad to say that the hills weren’t all that alive with the sound of music), but Kath is still on leave and Fran and Gaby are in Geneva with John, facilitator to the Changemakers, who is doing a workshop at the World Economic Forum on how to communicate effectively. Will Klaus Schwab do an elevator pitch?

We’re fast approaching crunch time for the upcoming Latin America Youth Summit. This week the print programme should be finalised, and if everything goes well we should be able to send out a finalish programme to the participants by the beginning of next week.

Also, we’ll be starting the call for applications for the Global Youth Summit 2010 next Monday. Again we’ll be looking for social entrepreneurs, community activists and volunteers from around the world, aged 16 to 19. All details on who can apply and what an application consists of will be posted on Monday. Watch this space!

Finally, Gaby’s doing one of her famous Chatting Wednesdays. You can find her on Skype from 3-4pm Swiss time (that is, 2-3pm UK time) under global.changemakers, as usually.

Okay, that’s it for now from Team Changemakers. Enjoy your mid-July!

P.S.: My apologies for the late entry…
