Lets stop and think!

Hello my activist companions, my friends,

Hows everything’s doing in you lives?

In my case I’ve been extremely bussy and I apologize for perhaps loosing some contact with my Road to Davos lifelong friends!!

The
other day whilst coming hom from a bussy day at school I started
remembering the most wondeful and enrichening time we have had in
Guildford. Which at the same time made me stop and think and rethink my
priorities, to take a time for myself for what really matters to me. I
took a significal amount of time in thinking, and rethinking what do I
expect of life, what are my intentions. I think that is what we must
do, TAKE SOME TIME FROM OUR BUSSY TIME AND THINK AND RETHINK OUR
PRIORITIES, OUR ACTIVISM, OUR PURPOSE IN LIFE.

And in that sense, there is a story of a famous writer who is called Eduardo Galeano, which goes like this:

"A
man living in Nagurá, in Colombia, is given the opportunity to climg to
the highest part of the sky and when he comes back he tells what he had
just seen. He said that he had contemplated, from up there, human life
in its purest form. And that we are all an ocean of fire flames. Each
person shines with its own light, amogst every other light. There are
no two equal flames. There are small fires and big ones and flames of
all colors. There are people of calm fire and other that with their
fire fill the air with sparks. Some flames, silly fires, don’t shine
nor burn; but others, oooooh those other flames burn life with so much
intensity, that we can’t even look at them without blinking, and
whoever gets close to them, starts to burn"

In that way I
believe that each and everyone of us are these burning flames, these
ignited fires that do not wait for light ot be brought about, but go
and bring about light. We are those fires that do not wait for the
change to occur alone, but go and produce it. It is through our
activism that we can bring about that light to where darkness
prevail!!!

Bests,

Juan
