Global Youth Summit 2010: Call for applications
Are you between 16 and 19 years old? Are you a social entrepreneur, community activist or volunteer? Do you want to bring about positive change?
Do you want to become a Global Changemaker?
If your answer to these questions is “Yes”, read no further. Starting today, we are accepting applications for the Fifth Annual Global Youth Summit of the Global Changemakers programme (21-27 November 2010). Once again we’ll be bringing 60 young people with a passion for change together in the UK, providing them with training, ideas and a whole new network of likeminded people.
Attendants of previous Global Youth Summits have attended high-level events such as the World Climate Conference, the Clinton Global Initiative University and World Economic Forum events in Davos, Cartagena and other places around the world.
For details on how to apply, you need to be a registered user and signed in on the website. Registered, signed in users will find all relevant information about the application process here.
If you aren’t registered yet, you can do so here; once you’re registered you will be sent an activation mail, so make sure to check your e-mail inbox. Once you’re registered and your account has been activated, you can sign in here.
To recap: if you wish to find out more about the GYS 2010 and submit an application:
- Register on the website. (If you’re already a registered user, you obviously don’t have to register again.)
- Wait for the activation mail, which should arrive within minutes of registering. The activation mail will allow you to activate your account. (If you have a tight spam filter, you may want to check your Junk mailbox.) Activate your account.
- Follow this link to get to the application page.

The call for applications ended on 6 August. All applications received by noon on 7 August will be considered; however, due to the high number of applications and mails, we cannot give individual replies to people asking whether we received their application. We will notify all applicants (provided the e-mail address we have is correct) by the first week of September, whether they were selected or not.
Does the Global Youth take place every year?
We do have a Global Youth Summit every year, yes.
