To the Guildford 58,
When you’ve just had the most incredible 2 weeks of your life, how can you possibly even begin to put it into words?
Being back in Malawi, I can truly appreciate how spectacular being at Guildford was.
I’ve said this several times, but it cannot be emphasized enough: to the Guildford 58, you guys are all incredible.
I know I wasn’t able to truly bond with everyone but nonetheless, everyone’s face is still fresh in my mind, their names still still fresh in my memory.
The group activities we had, our day in London… well, in that one week alone I learned more than I’d learned in the past five years of my life. I was truly impressed and inspired by you all…
And that is why it was such an honor to have had you guys vote me as one of the Davos 6. I did not expect it. But up till today, I’m still chuffed.
Davos and the WEF were incredible but, no lies, if I could have had one more week in Guildford instead of going to the WEF, I would have taken it without a second thought.
But now that the Global Changemakers Conference has been wrapped up for weeks now, the difficult part’s began.
I cannot emphasize this enough: we need to keep in touch and keep the friendships alive, the bonds made must not be allowed to sever. The passion and idealism must not be allowed to die.
We all had great CAP ideas and I know that we may be busy with other stuff like school (I know I am, I’ve got A-Levels coming up) but still, let’s commit to them and make them happen and let’s help each other however and wherever we can (no more and no less).
Everyone who was at Guildford is gifted and great; we’re in tune with the world and we have a yearning for change…
But it need not be just a yearning – let’s get out there and convert as many people as possible to our respective causes. We’re young so we’re blessed with youth and passion that old people can only dream of. Let’s mobilize!
You do not need to go to Guildford to be a Global Changemaker so let’s get a domino effect going, let’s awaken the minds and hearts of others like us. Let’s change the world.
P.S. If there’s anyone who I haven’t yet contacted who wants to help me with my CAP y planting a few trees or getting their friends to plant a few trees… just message me on this site or on Facebook.
