Youths should be part of the constitution making process!
When the government of Zimbabwe allowed young people to be part of the constitution making process, a lot of youths were extremely excited about the idea. I was one of the people that managed to be part of this constitution making process. I strongly believe that we as the youths need to be given a chance to become part of the decisions that affect us. Other Changemakers: do your governments allow you to be part of the constitution making process? If not please demand that you be heard because it is your prerogative! That’s why we are called Changemakers.

Hello Maurice, I like what you have just stated, the youth should be part of the Constitution process. In my country-Kenya, the government is seein to this and even though we recently promulgated a new constitution the challenge we are facing first is those people who do not want change for they are corrupt, but with time and social media the youth in Kenya have been foremost in seeing to it that their views and recommendations do not go unnoticed.
@dora hi! I think corruption is a necessary evil….it takes away the intergrity of a system alas in a self destuctive way. It offers then (I believe) an opportunity for real change makers to challenge tradition and break convention…as the youths of Sub saharan africa where corruption is annoyingly ubiquitous I strongly feel that it poses a surmountable challenge for us Changemakers to live to our creed! I Hope you and other youths from Kenya will be able to emulate the Zmbabwean model…I mean its no paragon of excellence but at least its a starting point! Hope to hear your success story soon!
Mourice let me thanking you as you have opened youth’s mind. Its a right time for the youth all over the World do demand this (participated in constituon making process). Please be agent and tell your fellow youth arond Zimbabwe waht you learn’t.
Thanks again.
Maurice and David, you all have great insights into youth involvement in constitution implementation and most of all understanding and yes Maurice, Kenyan youth are doing what it takes to be heard and now most people are seeking political positions to bring about change but am impressed with those who are being upright and ethical leaders in various fields they are in.
@David you can also do something similar in your country…@dora we are getting there Africa is slowly shifting from being The dark Continent to matching first world political democracies…lets keep working guys as Gandhi put it, Be the change you want to see in yhe world!
