How can I apply?

We are applications on www.global-changemakers.net starting on Monday, 30 January until Friday, 17 February. Applications will consist of a written questionnaire and a 2-minute YouTube application video. Click here to apply.

I have already taken part in a Global Changemakers summit. Can I still apply?

The 60 regular participants must be new Changemakers who haven’t taken part in previous summits. However, as with all recent summits we will be bringing 10 existing Global Changemakers (aged 18-25 on the first day of the summit) to the Euro-Africa Summit as peer facilitators. They will be asked to apply between 30 January and 17 February as well.

How much does attendance at a Global Changemakers summit cost?

The British Council covers all costs (i.e. travel, visa, accommodation, meals, training costs) for the selected participants.

  1. hmm,am waiting for the application call…..i hope not to miss this summit.

  2. Is there any way I could join this summit even though I won’t be 18 years old in june, as I’ll turn 18 in August?

  3. @Adriana Panait: The age range for the regional summits is set, I’m afraid. If we start to make exceptions, we have to make exceptions for everyone, for fairness’ sake.

However, for our Global Youth Summit in November the age range is 16 to 19, so you’ll be eligible to apply for that event.

  4. perfect innitiative for building a sustainable future. i am so interested in it!!

  5. What a great it will be at the summit.

  6. such a great summit..thumbs up for the organizers and initiators of the Global Change Makers. we are more than waiting to interact, experience and learn as we are growing in this new generation with young people who have got the zeal towards sustainable development especially in advocating towards combating climate change and taking action for a better future…”WE CAN BE THE CHANGE THAT WE WISH TO BE IN THE WORLD”…. We also learn from our elders Mahatma Gandhi
hey youths out there,,,here is an opportunity for us to take action and to reduce talking….

  10. @Leyla: We’ll be accepting applications from 30 January onwards. As the application process is based on an online form, that form will be available on Monday as well.

  11. This is really exciting. :)

  12. Haha.. been working with youths but only from Uganda and can’t wait. It’s gonna be my first time and can’t wait for the application forms. Hope i’m chosen, it’ll be a challenge to intercact and learn more from youths from other countries.

  13. i am happy to have joined the winning team and i hope i will be able to be part of the summit after monday. so what are the requirements for the 2 min application video :-D

  14. @Mwila Chansa: The video will be about your track record and your motivation to attend the summit. Visit back on Monday to get more details on how to apply!

  15. realy waiting for that summit… just don’t want to miss out .

  16. Will there be other summits for people 25 years or older? I recently turned 25 and therefore cannot apply for this particular summit.

  17. Since the overall age range for Global Changemakers is 16-25 and we want Changemakers to be able to be active within the network for at least one year, it is unlikely we’ll have summits for people aged 25 or older. Sorry. :-(

  18. Hi Matt,
any scholarship or fee coverage for this ( air ticket, accommodation)?
    Thanks

  19. @Tamba: The British Council covers all the fees you’ve mentioned for the selected participants.
