Who can apply?
- Social entrepreneurs, community activists and volunteers aged 18-24 (on 24 June)
- Applicants must be able to make themselves available in Brussels from 24-30 June
- They must not have taken part in any previous Global Changemakers summits
- They must be able to communicate comfortably in English
- They must be residents of one of the countries listed below

@Christencia-Chewe: I’m afraid the Global Changemakers programme works with people aged 16-25 only. Which country do you live in? I’m certain there are other programmes, organisations and institutions that work with those older than our core audience.

@sadubuntu22: While this summit is for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa only, our global summits are for participants from any country; also, we’re hoping to return to the Middle East and North Africa before long for regional activity.

I am 23 years old from Somalia. i would be pleased if you allow me to attend the Global Changemakers summit and am sure it will make great change in my community. I think there is great need in my country given the circumstance which needs a urgent intervention and change in all sectors of society. so could you please advice me how can i apply this and where i can find the application form.

@Qehreman: As long as we receive your video link by the end of the deadline (midnight on Sunday 19 February) we will add it to your application. Please note that you cannot send your video as an attachment – if YouTube or Vimeo don’t work, we suggest using a file-sharing service such as YouSendIt.
We should be able to inform applicants by 20 March at the latest.
Hello, I have completed the questions of the online application but at that time I didn’t have the video ready, so i couldn’t submit it. Later, when i opened my application again, nothing was saved. Today i got the email, saying that I haven’t completed my application (which i knew).
Is there any chance i can find the answers to my questions online, are they saved, or maybe you have received them? Or do i have to complete them all over?

@teonajikia: Did you access the application form from the same computer as where you started, and are cookies activated? I think that in order to go back and edit/complete your application you have to use the same computer with activated cookies.
Send me an e-mail at info@global-changemakers.net so I can follow up on this. Most likely you’ll have to re-enter all the information, but I should be able to send you what you’ve submitted so far.

And what about the expanses, Is British council gonna pay for expanses ?
@mehdi123: I’m afraid that for this summit you need to be resident in Europe or Sub-Saharan Africa to be eligible. All participant costs (travel, visa, accommodation and meals at the event) are covered by the British Council.

I have a problem with answering this question:
Which country will you be a resident of in June 2012? (You only need to answer this if your nationality and country of residence differ from each other.)
my nationality (Polish) is different than the country of residence in June 2012. However, as I am scrolling down the country table, it seems to me that you forgot to add United Kingdom, Britain, England- none od these terms figure out on the list.
How shall I apply then? Shall I choose Poland instead?

@yllka: Our regional summits are organised an audience aged 18-24. Our global summits (which take place in the UK in autumn – watch out for the call for applications this summer) are aimed at participants aged 16-19.
