Opening of the Changemakers Clubs in Schools in Sierra Leone

The Changemakers Initiative Sierra Leone which is head by Alhalji Alhassan Sesay a Global Changemaker (GCM) will launch a Campaign to open the Changemakers Club in Schools in Sierra Leone as a means to bring up a new cadre and Changemakers in the Country. This idea was brought up, when a meeting was held by the Changemakers Initiative Sierra Leone at our General meeting. We see how the Schools and Communities are greatly infected due to the lack of  Positive Attitude and Behaviour among the Young people whom should be a Changemakers in their Schools and Communities. The first face of the Project will start with 50 Schools in the  Western Urban Areas of the Freetown Capital which is schedule to commence from the 23 January, 2012 and will end on the 24 February, 2012. After the Opening of the Changemakers Clubs in the Western Urban the Project will continue to the Western Rural Areas in the Freetown Capital sarting from the 1st March, 2012 and will end on the 6 April, 2012. This Project is an ongoing Project until we cover the entire Country with this Initiative which will serve as an advocacy machine to Schools and Communities in Sierra Leone. We are requesting the comments and response of all Global Changemakers both National and International to support this Initiative for it success. “We all have to be an eye keeper for one another as Change is not the Responsibility of a single man, as we all have a role to play in making change of all nature become reality”. This initiative is a bold step taken by the Changemakers Initiative Sierra Leone, to bring a positive Change in the mind set of the Young in Sierra Leone. As the Country will commence it upcoming Presidential, Parliamentary, Local Government and Chieftency election in November, 2012 this initiative with it Campaign will Change the norms of violence during election and will create a Peaceful atmosphere in every Schools and Communities. I am proud to declare to all the GCM Team that I (Alhalji Alhassan Sesay) the initiator of the Changemakers Initiative Sierra Leone have been selected as a Word Committee member by the National Electoral Commission (NEC) in Sierra Leone as one of the Civil Society Activist to sensitize and observe the Country upcoming National Election in 2012. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
