Rabat Entrepreneurial Challenge

"We believe that the current education system in Morocco does not equip students with the necessary skills to create their own job opportunities. Instead, it teaches them to abide to the conventional professional path and aspire for engineering or medicine at most. Our hope is to see young Moroccan students designing innovative enterprises to meet their needs and the society's needs as a whole."

Rabat Entrepreneurial Challenge was a 6-day program that took place in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, from the 21st to the 26th of June 2010, with the aim of introducing entrepreneurship to a selected number of Moroccan students.

Students took part in a wide range of activities that enabled them to discover the entrepreneurs within themselves and identify forms in which they can apply the skills they acquired. On the last day of the training week, a competition took place for a grant which was geared towards two winning projects.

" Our ultimate goal was to transform communities in Morocco by nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst Moroccan youth."
