Listen2Youth

As the title suggests, Listen2Youth is a way of giving youth a voice. The project will encourage people irrespective of gender, race, and creed to spare a moment and hear what young people have to say.

Building up from an audio project, Listen2Youth will produce a video compilation of performing arts by youth. The performances will promote the theme “identity and diversity” of the various cultures of Zimbabwe. The team will record at least 15 young artists of different genres, such as poetry, drama, story-telling, or stand up comedy to produce a DVD and distribute 200 copies country-wide through schools and other organizations. At the time when national healing shall be Zimbabwe’s priority, this project will serve to include youth participation in such matters.

The project will:

  • Promote greater appreciation of different cultures through the arts;
  • Improve youth engagement in Zimbabwe’s national healing process;
  • Increase exposure of young artists in the arts industry.
