This project is best described as an entrepreneurship drive. The project will start every year in July where participants from around Uganda come together for a three day conference about entrepreneurship in rural Uganda. The first of these events will be held in Hoima, of the Hoima district. The conference is expected to attract up to 60 pupils from 15 participating schools. We will also invite students from all arount the world, mainly African Leadership Academy alumni.
On the first day and with the help of case studies, modules such as “entrepreneurship” and “entrepreneurship in the rural environment” will be taught. Following these sessions, each individual will be asked to identify needs and potential solutions for problems in their communities. The solutions will then be grouped into four geographical areas.
The main objective of this project is to firmly establish a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the community.
