Climate change is a global problem with local consequences. A bridge between decision makers and common people should facilitate action towards solutions.
The aim of the CAP is to document the impact of climate change on Bogotá’s water supply ecosystems. 10 million Bogotanos and 80% of their water needs depend on the Paramo ecosystem. Climate change is having a great impact on this ecosystem and can potentially increase the problem.
The CAP targets communities living in the Paramos as well as people living in Bogota. The inhabitants’ perception of climate change’s impact on their water supply will be used as an input to strengthen communication between government decisions and civil society. This communication will then hopefully lead to solutions.
