Guildford 2008
Hi folks,
Yes, I am still alive. While reading all your mails, I just feel a bit embarrassed, since everybody told me about their activism. In the meantime I have just been hanging out. After following two full time jobs - school and my research project - within the two years before our Guildford week, I just decided to take a break for a few weeks. So I enjoyed life while travelling in Middle America in February and I am looking forward to going on a ski trip next week.
After Easter I'll start being active again. There is a completely new experience waiting for me. I am going to teach French to teenagers at least for one week, maybe even more. Let's see how I'll manage this. In addition I am applying for an internship in Israel and a scientific/artistic seminar in Salzburg. You see my activism is coming back
.
I think that our week in Guildford has brought a lot of impact for everybody of us. To see 59 ways of being active, 59 ways of achieving things one wants to be achieved, will help everybody for their future activities. Reading your e-mails I have seen that the week was extremely inspiring for everybody. To see 59 other guys doing something with passion was a big motivation for my own future. You all gave me a lot!
Unfortunately our week together in Guildford is history now. But the network still remains. I just want to encourage you to use this network. Everyone of us knows 59 people now who can support you. Use them to get tips, mental support or answers for questions that cause problems. And of course use them to enlarge your activism, to create worldwide connections to achieve our ideas. If you like to involve Switzerland into your activities, don't hesitate to contact me!!
Can you remember our exercise in the colour group "Why don't you try...?" Why don't we try to connect our activism?
Keep on & I miss you all,
Thierry
