Live from the WEF, Thursday 24 January 2008

Hey Everybody!

We are here at the WEF, sitting on cold stairs, waiting for our session. We have spoken to countless journalists, it's difficult to keep up with all the names, so we won't be mentioning any of them now. People are so surprised that we are here representing you guys. It is extremely ironic that Juan and Yunan almost didn't make it in because they say they don't allow under-18s. We're missing you guys, 'cus it's difficult for the 6 of us to talk to 10 jounalists at the same time. It would be a lot better if you guys were here, all spread out, and making our voices heard. The Duke of York from the U.K. sounded very interested in what we have to say and what our activism is all about. And we didn't have to call him "Your Royal Highness". ^_^

The general feeling at Davos is very cynical about young people's involvement. We're not sure if it was like this last year, because that group was older than us. And all the talk about a "recession" isn't easing the pessimism. We feel that we will shed some new light on the representation of young people in the global arena.

Thank you for supporting us so much, all your messages are very encouraging. You guys must see the 2 minute video which will open our session, it is so amazing, touching, inspiring. Lisa and Ed have done a brilliant job, hats off to them.  Cheers, we love you all, and don't forget to tune in, in approximately 2 hours.

 w

Bundles of Love,

Gillion, Yunan, Rhadeena, Juan, Whitney and Nick

Just a note: we may not be live.. WEF is only webcasting one session at a time. and it looks as though they will live cast the debate on the peace proccess.
Ours may not appear until after it has finished.. so everyone keep watching and waiting.  It will appear!!!!!

Hello, all.  If you lot out there are finding it frustrating not to be able to watch, just spare a thought for us here, almost on the spot, but unable to see and hear what’s going on as we sit in the hotel and wait patiently for the webcast to go live.  Just hope it’s not too long afterwards in coming up, otherwise no-one will get to bed tonight, at least in our time zone!

Hi ALL, felt really frustrated not being able to watch the 6, but I never gave a thought to how Felicity and the other Facilitators must be feeling too. I’m so sorry and you’re right Felicity I WON’T GO TO BED UNTIL I WATCH THE 6!!!
    LOVE AND STAY COOL,

Thanks a lot Felicity!  It’s 11:38PM here in Hong Kong and I should be sleeping as I have school tomorrow.  Yet I am still with another 10 chatting on MSN Messenger waiting to see them online!  Good luck to us all!

I am sure they did well though!
