Well, the chickens have come home to roost, the forum is finally happening - the participants arrived in large numbers today so there was a lot of excitment, a lot of introductions with people forgetting a lot of names.
I guess it'll be easier from tomorrow when everybody has a nametag.
I've really been looking forward to meeting you all and I must say, I was not dissappointd at all. there's a great mix of personalities and huge amounts of energy. Some participants were feeling slightly out of place or slightly homesick at some point, but as time went on, they relaxed and started mingling - that was nice.
I know you all have a mission or a goal(s) to achieve here; however, I'd like to stress the importance of having fun. You can still learn, gain insight and experience while having fun. This is an incredible journey that you'll be going through, make sure you enjoy it thoroughly!
However, if you do feel really down - for whatever reason, please feel free to talk to me/Caroline/Gillian/ Matt or John and Linda - the facilitators - and we'll see how we can help. I'm great at listening, so even if you just wanna talk...
Other than that, remember: you earned this, you deserve to be here, so enjoy it - seize the moment!
